Wood between the worlds

Few days ago, I could have a chance to talk with my Professor in graduate schcool.
He had interests in the subject concerning IT tends and I also had been researching of
recent trend in IT field.
So we could share information and discuss about more practical subject in University.
I recommended that he'd better focus on the convergency among majors.

For example,

Marketing + Information = Information Marketing

or.....

Information + Design = Information Design...

something like that?

Anyhow, he ask me of researching more about those kinds of fields.
And suddenly, I could find a word from my head, "KNOWLEDE CONVERGENCE"!!!!!!
This word hit my head and I thought that I found right word!!!!

After googling, I could find a word "knowledge convergence" already though..-_-;;
well... I'm not the first person to make this concept,
but I can expand my knowledge because of that thought.

Therefore, I'd like to introduce the word "knowledge convergence" now.
This is kind of different from my thought.

Knowledge convergence is a collaborative knowledge construction.
Collaborative learners contribute their indivisual knowledge resources and eventually
synthesize their indivisual perspectives.

So...this is not defined as a concept of convergence of knowledge in different fields as I expected. Rather, it tries to convergence of knowledge that indivisual can share in specific environment.
Well... I could think of my situation in project.
I and cooperative programmers who are from other company can not communicate well
because of  uncomfortable Infrastructure.
We can use blog or wiki to improve our communication when we work together.
It can also help to synthesize our perspectives.

I could find more papers while I was googling and most of them were concerning of learner's situation.
It is not the very concept of mine...
But I enjoyed the time to research the interesting word. :D
